An operative with the “Eagle” force unit sustained injuries during an operation to apprehend a wanted individual in Peshkopi. According to sources, the incident occurred when police forces entered a three-story building to arrest the suspect. During the intervention, operative Gentjan Meda, 40, fell from a surrounding wall while attempting to apprehend the suspect, sustaining bodily harm.
Vision Plus has secured a photograph of the operative and the 35-year-old suspect, Klodian Llomi. Initially, the injured operative received first aid at the Peshkopi hospital before being transported by helicopter to Tirana for specialized treatment. Police subsequently arrested 35-year-old Klodian Llomi (Mazari), who is accused of criminal offenses including “Organizatë kriminale,” “Shfrytëzim prostitucioni,” and “Trafikim i lëndëve narkotike,” offenses committed in Italy.
Llomi was sought after the Albanian Court issued a sentence recognized by the Court of Appeal of Rome in Italy, where he was to serve the remaining 6 years and 7 months imprisonment.
